Participants will receive their name badges when collecting their meeting documents on site. You are required to wear your name badge during all meeting events, including during the Networking Events (if you have purchased tickets). Please note that admission to scientific sessions and the exhibition is restricted to participants wearing their badges.

  • Exhibitors will not be admitted to the scientific sessions.
  • There is a charge for the replacement of a lost badge. Information is available on the Registration tab.

Banks & Foreign Exchange Offices
The currency in Korea is the won (₩, KRW). Major banks exchange foreign currency. Credit Cards are accepted at most (but not all) major retailers, so it is helpful to have cash for most transactions. Banking hours are Monday to Friday 09:30 to 16:30 and weekdays 09:00 to 16:00. Currency exchange is also available at the airport.
Certificates of Attendance
Certificates of Attendance will be e-mailed to all attendees after the Congress. Please allow thirty (30) days to receive the certificate of attendance by email.
Currently, the TTS 2020 Congress does not provide childcare services.

Conference Capture
Select sessions of TTS 2020 will be recorded and available online to both congress attendees and TTS members. More details will be provided closer to the event.
Congress E-Daily
The TTS 2020 Congress publishes its official daily news online and via email during the meeting, as well as a post-congress issue two weeks following the meeting. The TTS Congress Daily can be accessed via the Congress Mobile App and is also sent via email to all congress registrants and TTS members. It can also be accessed directly online (check back for URL).
Congress Mobile App
Use your mobile device to navigate the TTS 2020 Congress by downloading the free Congress Mobile App (Apple Store or Google Play). It conveniently provides iPhone/iPad, Windows and Android smartphone and tablet users with on-the-go access to the TTS 2020 most important information such as program overviews, speaker and abstract information, general meeting and exhibitor information, venue and city maps and tips.
The TTS 2020 mobile app will be made available six (6) weeks to the congress date.
Credit Cards
Most businesses in Korea widely accept payment by credit cards, including major hotels, department stores and shops. Be sure check the service availability before making any purchases.

Dress Code
Business casual attire is requested for all Congress functions and social events.

The standard voltage in Korea is 220 volts. The outlet has two round holes and is same type as that of which are used in France, Germany, Austria, Greece, Turkey, and many other countries.

If you do not have a travel adapter, you can borrow one from your hotel's front desk. It is available for purchase in duty-free shops or convenience stores at Incheon International Airport.

Insurance and Liability
It is recommended that participants obtain adequate insurance coverage for travel, health and accidents before they depart from their countries of residence. TTS as congress organizers cannot accept responsibility for personal injuries, or loss of, or damage to private property belonging to the conference participants and accompanying persons.

Mobile Telephones
As a courtesy to speakers and other participants, all mobile phones and pagers must be switched off when attending sessions or symposia.
Online Disclosures
As part of the CME accreditation procedures, all speakers are obliged to provide disclosure of potential conflicts of interest. On the first slide of every presentation, these disclosures must be presented. The Speaker Ready Room can assist you with drafting this slide.

Poster Sessions

Posters will be presented on different days during the Congress and are accessible at the same times as the exhibition opening hours. The official poster sessions will take place as follows:

We ask that poster presenters be present at their poster during the formal Poster Networking on the day your poster is presented on Monday, Sept. 14 and Tuesday, Sept. 15 from 17:15–18:15.

Program Changes
Program changes will be made public via the official TTS 2020 Congress Mobile App and the website.
Seoul’s food does wonders in attracting people to the city. Whatever you have, wherever you are, the food will never fail to satisfy you. From fine dining to casual street food, you will find traditional Korean food, a variety of western cuisine, and fusion cuisine served all throughout the city at restaurants that make you feel like eating at home.

The current Korea VAT (Value Added Tax) is 10%. Korea has one of the lowest VAT tax rates in the world, charging a maximum VAT rate of 10%. The VAT is a sales tax that applies to the purchase of most goods and services.
Time Zone

Tipping in Korea is not common, but the trend seems to be shifting because the country is being exposed to more Western culture. In restaurants, 10% is appropriate.
Local Transit
Seoul has an extensive network of public transportation and taxis. Consistently voted as one of the best in the world for its ease of use, cleanliness, and frequency of service, the Seoul subway system is one of the most efficient ways to travel around the city. Trains run non-stop from approximately 5:30 am until midnight. All subway lines are color coded and stations display signs in Korean, English, and Chinese.
